For quite a while now, I’ve been seeing mixed reviews on SaSi. Luckily, KamaSutraCloset has been kind enough to let me test one and find out for myself just how good it is.
SaSi is designed to simulate oral with a small, smooth massage head that undulates under a thin layer of soft silicone. From what little oral I’ve experienced, I’d say that SaSi comes pretty close.
Modes:
Favorites: In favorites mode, SaSi does what she’s told. She comes pre-programmed with 5 favorites which you can sift through by means of the left and right control buttons. I’d definitely start off here to familiarize yourself with the movements before trying to program anything. To switch on, hold the middle button until SaSi vibrates once and the green light appears. To start, click the middle button again and the nub will start to move.
Learning: In learning mode, SaSi will move from one sensation to the next in an attempt to please you. If you’re not too fond of a particular motion, you can skip to the next one. SaSi will remember this and be less likely to use that one in the future. If you like the current movement, you can press the “don’t stop” button in the middle and SaSi will remember to use it again next time.
SaSi will learn what you like and usually use that, but she will step outside of that from time to time to see if you’d like something else. Personally, I like that. I mean, if your partner does the same thing with oral sex every time, it’s going to get a little stale eventually.
To switch on, hold the middle button until SaSi vibrates once and the green light appears. Click the right button and the red light will appear.Click the middle button again and the nub will start to move. Learn will play each of the patterns for 20 seconds before moving to the next pattern. If you want to skip a pattern or go back, press the right or left button. If you decide you like a pattern, press the middle button. Both the green and red lights will appear and SaSi will learn this pattern and add it to your Favorites. You can choose up to five personal favorites.
Controls:
Although SaSi isn’t super-complicated, I do recommend going through the instruction booklet and fiddling around a bit to get the hang of SaSi’s controls before giving it a go. This isn’t a toy you can just pick up and use. You need to learn how to use it first. After you get the hang of it, it’s fairly easy. The directions can be a bit overwhelming at first, but there are plenty of detailed explanations to help you through the learning curve.
What I love about SaSi:
I love the fact that I get oral now! Woohoo! My last experience with oral was…um…well, it was at least 3-4 years ago when my hubby and I were dating. It felt good and I definitely let him know, but I’ve never gotten it since. Hmm… Wonder what’s up with that… He gets plenty of oral…
Anyway, being able to program SaSi with my favorites is nice. That way I don’t have to go through all of the settings just to find the one I want. However, I do like just having it go at me randomly. It makes the experience more organic. Since SaSi is simulating a partner giving oral, it makes it more realistic to me when I’m not sure what’s coming next.
I love the way SaSi feels on my clit and labia, but who says that’s the only place to use it? Try it anywhere a tongue would go! Personally, I think it’s interesting for tushie use. My back door needs some love, too! It’s nice on nipples, too. My neck is pretty sensitive, so it’s great there, too. (I keep using “too” a lot. Sorry! You’ll just have to put up with it! It’s a running gag!) If your guy is into it, you could let it play with his balls while you give him oral. Mine says he doesn’t get anything from me playing with them. Oh well. I like to play with them anyway.
What I wish from SaSi:
Ok, so I’m no expert on receiving oral. Like I said before my last, and only, experience was at least 3-4 years ago. There’s one thing I do know, though; I want faster tongue flicking! Sasi, in my experience, is best left for foreplay than for satisfaction through masturbation. Yes, you can speed Sasi up a little, but it’s just not enough for me when I’m getting close to orgasm. The slow licking is nice but, after a little while, I want a little more speed. The licking is supposed to have three speeds, but it seems like only two to me. If SaSi could learn to gradually speed up as I get close to orgasm, that would be perfect. However intuitive SaSi is about learning what I like, she hasn’t quite learned that yet. (And yes, I know she never will. I’m just trying to make a point.)
Which brings me to another point; the vibration. I find it hard to notice tongue part of Sasi when the vibration is going. (Ok. Haha. True can’t feel the tongue and vibrations at the same time, so she probably can’t chew gum and walk at the same time either. Smarty pants… ) I mean, I can still feel the tongue, but it’s just not as noticeable when the vibration is going. This, of course, makes using the vibration with the moving nub very frustrating.
Another thing, trying to position SaSi just right can take some time. And I also have trouble clicking the buttons when SaSi is on me. If I want to change something, I usually pick it up.
Vibration: There are 3 levels of intensity and 2 pulse patterns. It’s not the strongest vibration, but I’m used to vibes that might blast the clit off some girls.
Noise: Fairly quiet, but I can still hear it in the next room if the door isn’t shut.
Material: Silicone. The bottom cover is soft and the right thickness to let the nub move fluidly.
Power Source: Rechargeable (Plug in for 2 hours, charge lasts 2 hours). Comes with adapters for various countries (Australia/New Zealand, United Kingdom, Europe and USA/Canada/Japan)
Lube: Definitely use lube! This is designed to imitate oral, right? Well, you’ll need some lubrication to simulate the saliva that would be on your partner’s tongue if you were actually getting oral. Only use water-based lube with this silicone toy.
Cleaning: Wipe it down with a damp cloth or toy wipe. Don’t submerge in water or try to wash it under the sink. It is splash-proof, but that doesn’t mean it’s water-proof. The silicone skin can be taken off and washed, or even switched out for one of another color (SaSi comes in pink, purple, rose, and black.), but it’s a little tricky to get it on and off.
Packaging: The black storage box that it comes with stylish and discreet. Really, it would make a wonderful gift box. The bottom part of the box holds the cord, instructional booklet and adaptors.
SaSi is in the top part of the box, perched on a little silicone rest. The silicone rest keeps the bottom nice and clean for whenever your next use will be.
Ok. Enough of my jabber. I find videos to be very helpful, so here’s a nice little walk-through video of SaSi.
Rating: 4/5 I guess. I feel like I’m still trying to get used to SaSi. Plus, I’m still trying to figure out how I want to program the favorites. I mean, it’s great for foreplay, but I’d love to get to the point of mastering it and having an orgasm with it. I’m not sure if I’ll ever have the patience for that, though.
From other consumer comments I’ve looked at, SaSi seems to be a hit-or-miss product. Half of the time there are raves, half of the time there are rants. I’d say, if you usually want your orgasms fast, don’t get SaSi. It will only make you frustrated. However, if you’re one to take your time and really get into your masturbation sessions, go for it! Me? I dunno. I guess I’m kind of in between.
